Great value for money cooking classes for all your family, friends, work colleagues and partners or just a treat.
The cooking course will be held over two Saturdays in January, 2009 the 17th and 24th. Each session will cost £65.00 including ingredients. I will cover a range of healthy, quick, easy and cheap meals to prepare. In these hard times, everyone is asking, "How can I cut the prices on my shopping bill?". I will have all the answers for you: Where to buy, how to shop, how long it will take to prepare, how to store the food, and how to be healthy and have plenty of time to spare to enjoy yourself and look after your family.
Each session starts at 11:00 am and finishes at 3:00pm.
On the 17th January, 2009 we will cover a range of pulses:
Lentils
Chick Peas
Couscous
You will learn how to cook, store, and make various pulse based dishes, from split lentil soup with parsley to chick peas dip with fried pine nuts to a couscous salad and a main
course "Rice and Lentil with Yogurt and Cucumber Sauce".
Also if we have time we will prepare a nice and easy range of Lebanese puddings.
The 24th January, 2009 we will cover a range of vegetables:
Artichoke
Aubergine
Peppers
You will learn how to cook, store, and make various vegetable dishes, from artichoke salad with baby spinach and sun dried tomatoes, to aubergine dip with pomegranate pips and a main course "Stuffed Peppers with Almonds and Saffron".
Also if we have time I will be able to show you how to make Lebanese bread.
Please note none of the sessions are refundable or transferable once booked. You can book both sessions at the discounted price of £120.00.
Each cooking session can accommodate up to 8 people. Everyone prepares and helps to put together the meal and at the end of each session, we all sit down with a bottle of wine to have a well earned lunch.
All participants will take home a plate of Lebanese Baklava/Maamoul, a bag of Lebanese bread, all the recipes and general cooking tips.
If you are interested, please email us. All places should be booked in advance, please make the cheque payable to Mona Usher.
